The government expects to award a contract in October for a mobile application that will provide citizens access to medical records and health services information through their smartphones.
The National eHealth Authority is currently evaluating submitted bids and has set November 2025 as the target launch date for the first phase of the mobile app.
The initial version will offer basic but essential functions including access to patient health summaries, real-time information about night pharmacies and on-duty doctors, and activation of an emergency “panic button” for rapid mobilisation of health services during urgent situations.
A separate tender for creating a National Unified Health Data Bank is expected to be completed by the end of December 2025.
Representatives from the National eHealth Authority told the parliamentary health committee that the tender for this project is already posted on the eProcurement platform and will remain open for comments and observations until Monday, 30 June 2025.
Forty-six European companies, including specialised technology groups, have expressed interest in the project. The official tender announcement is scheduled for 30 September, with the deadline for bid submissions set for 25 December 2025.
