The growing presence of Israeli entrepreneurs in Larnaca was discussed on Monday during a meeting between Larnaca chamber of commerce and industry president (Evel) Nakis Antoniou and Israel’s Ambassador to Cyprus Oren Anolik.
According to the chamber, the meeting took place at its offices as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and exchange views on economic development and investment.
The discussion focused on major investments currently underway in the Larnaca district, as well as on large-scale development projects promoted in recent years.
The chamber said these projects are progressing well, contributing to the region’s economic growth, creating new jobs and further strengthening Larnaca’s position as a modern business and investment destination.
Particular attention was also given to the role of Israeli entrepreneurs, whose investments and business activity were described as an important contribution to the local economy and wider society.
According to the announcement, these initiatives support entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities, encourage innovation and help shape a more dynamic and outward-looking economic environment in the district.
Antoniou expressed satisfaction over the strong level of cooperation and the close ties that have developed between Larnaca and Israel in recent years, both in business and investment.
He said the “mutual trust and cooperation built between the two sides provide a solid basis for further strengthening economic relations, promoting new investment initiatives and creating additional opportunities for both Larnaca and Israel.”
The chamber said the meeting took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, with both sides confirming their willingness to continue dialogue and cooperation in areas of common interest.
