Cyprus is seeking to attract more Israeli investment and business relocations at a summit in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, with more than 200 delegates expected to attend discussions on establishing companies and expanding operations within the European Union.

The 8th Cyprus-Israel Business & Investment Summit, organised by IMH in cooperation with Invest Cyprus, is taking place at the Hilton Tel Aviv, bringing together business executives, investors, bankers and professional advisers.

The conference is intended to strengthen commercial relations between the two countries, while presenting Cyprus as a potential base for Israeli companies seeking access to European markets.

Particular attention will be given to corporate relocation, regional headquarters, financial services and investment opportunities, alongside the practical requirements of establishing and operating a business on the island.

According to the official summit programme, Invest Cyprus CEO Marios Tannousis will present the country’s economic outlook, investment environment and opportunities for international businesses, including the government’s Vision 2035 strategy.

He will be joined by Cyprus’ ambassador to Israel, Kornelios S. Korneliou, and Eurobank senior general manager Stephanos Kassianides, who are scheduled to address the gathering.

The regulatory framework governing Cyprus’ financial sector will also come under discussion, with Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission chairman (CySEC) George Karatzias presenting the country’s supervisory environment.

Meanwhile, representatives of Alpha Bank Cyprus, Eurobank and Bank of Cyprus (BoC) will examine the banking and financial services available to international businesses, including payment institutions, investment firms, fintech companies and fund managers.

Another session will focus on the legal and tax considerations involved in relocating operations to Cyprus, with contributions from PwC Cyprus, Nobel Trust and K. Treppides & Co.

Beyond corporate taxation, the discussions will cover establishing headquarters, transferring employees and the arrangements available to business owners and their families.

Technology and innovation will form another part of the programme, with TechIsland general manager Tanya Romanyukha presenting Cyprus’ technology ecosystem and its development as a location for start-ups and international technology companies.

The discussion will also examine the opportunities available to businesses operating in research, innovation and intellectual property, areas that Cyprus is seeking to develop as part of its wider investment strategy.

For entrepreneurs considering a move, Cyprus’ start-up visa scheme remains available until December 2026, allowing eligible founders from outside the EU to establish or develop innovative businesses on the island.

Property investment will also feature prominently, reflecting the importance of residential and commercial real estate to companies establishing a presence in Cyprus.

Representatives of CYFIELD, bbf: and DOMO will discuss opportunities in the property market, including office developments, residential projects and potential investment returns.

The programme will also feature examples of Israeli companies already operating in Cyprus, offering prospective investors an opportunity to examine how businesses have established themselves on the island.

The event is expected to attract entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, family offices, asset managers and senior executives from the technology and financial sectors, alongside professionals providing legal, accounting and advisory services.

Eurobank is the platinum sponsor, while Alpha Bank Cyprus, BoC, PwC Cyprus and several property developers are among the companies supporting the conference.

The programme, venue and speakers were checked against the organiser’s official information, while the attendance estimate remains a forecast rather than a confirmed turnout.
